I’ve been in Georgia for over three years now and to be honest, I really haven’t left Augusta all that much to go see anything else. I’ve done some touristy stuff in Atlanta and Savannah. I went to a Trump campaign rally in Macon and I’ve been to Athens to see the University. Other than doing that stuff though, I have to say I’ve barely seen any of Georgia and I know it has a lot more to often. So I’m going to start traveling around Georgia and visiting all of the breweries and brewpubs available!
To some it might sound strange and to others I’m sure it sounds awesome. I know plenty of people that love beer and with the craft beer scene growing larger and larger I just think it’d be cool to be apart of it all. These adventures will combine some of the things I love, traveling, beer, and more beer! Haha and seeing how the business are building themselves. I really enjoy hearing the stories of how microbreweries started and it’s awesome to see the impact they have on their community.
Truly though, it’s not about the beer and it’s not about the traveling. It’s just about going out and actually doing something and having fun, instead of sitting at home all of the time. I’m going to document it all in some way, shape or form as well. Make some videos, write about it all, tell you which beers I like and so on. I’m just extremely curious and I don’t know that much about beer so I’m going to go learn.
I think it’d be amazing to own and operate a brewery someday as well, but I want to go out and experience more and “try them out” to see if it’s really something I’d like to be apart of and attempt.
I’m thinking my first trip won’t be until December, so that gives me plenty of time to plan and possibly get more people on board for the experience.
